Description:
1/12 – 1/18 scale small 4wd race cars – small, high performance racers on a budget. Note: This class is under development and rules may evolve as the season progresses.
Approved Vehicles:
- Wltoys 144001 1/14 scale 4wd buggy
- WLtoys 124019 1/12 scale 4wd buggy
- WLtoys 124008 1/12 scale 4wd buggy
- Losi 1/18 Mini-T 2.0
- Losi 1/16 Mini-B
Rules (WLToys Buggies):
- Electronics: WLToys buggies must retain stock motors for their platform. The 124008 must use the stock brushless ESC also. 144001 and 124019 may use any brushed ESC. All WLToys buggies may use any radio system and steering servo.
- Body: Custom bodies ok (encouraged).
- Tires: Must use stock WLToys buggy tires from the three approved models, or the RC Sports Spec Touring Car tires
- Suspension: Ride height adjustments and aftermarket oil are allowed. 124008 may clip the springs to lower the ride height.
- Upgrades: Durability upgrades (such as aluminum parts) are allowed. Upgrades should be specifically intended to improve durability, not gain a performance edge. Aftermarket bodies and bumpers that protect suspension components from impact are highly recommended.
- Chassis: No chassis or gearing modifications are allowed. Aftermarket CVDs and driveshafts are allowed.
Rules (Losi 1/16 Mini B/T):
- Electronics: Must use either the stock brushed combo (Dynamite 280 47T) or the Hobbywing EZRun 18A 18T brushless combo. Aftermarket servo & radio allowed.
- Tires: Stock tires, Losi Step Pin rears, and Jconcepts Twin Pin Rear/Swagger Front tires allowed.
- Body: Custom bodies ok (encouraged).
- Upgrades: Durability upgrades (such as aluminum parts and RPM parts) are allowed. Upgrades should be specifically intended to improve durability, not gain a performance edge.
- Chassis: No chassis or gearing modifications allowed.
